Julietta Henderson, the author of 2 books which I have not yet read, was interviewed on this week’s Writer’s Routine podcast. I’d never heard of her before but this was a fantastic podcast and I will definitely be giving her books a go.
As a part time, and mostly unsuccessful, fiction author myself, I’ve listened to plenty of writing podcasts over the years. This one wasn’t heavy on the tips and tricks of writing, but Julietta managed to share the feel of what it is like to be a writer, why we do it, and why it is a really worthwhile activity.
I found her thoughts on the subject uplifting, and after listening I felt more inspired to keep writing than I had before. Since she can’t sell our books and stories for us, that is the best I could have hoped for.
If you are a writer, or someone who is interested in stories and the creative process, then this podcast is very worth a listen.
You can find it on my favourite podcast player, Overcast, here, or simply search for Writer’s Routine on your pod catcher of choice.
